Where are you from and where do you live at the moment?
I’m from Denmark and I’m currently living in London

Can you describe your latest collection?
For my AW 10 collection I turned my eyes to the sci-fi scenario and in particular raw and industrial architecture of a future past, reminiscent of Richard Rogers’ apocalyptic TSB Lloyds building in East London. Cables, tubes, shafts and elevators pervading the building like bones and veins. The film Titus by Julie Taymor with its dark and grotesque costume design was also a great inspirational source.

What influences your work and your aesthetics?
It can be many different things but something that always appear to comes back to me is my interest for war history and sci-fi movies.

What are you listening to/reading at the moment?
I’m listening to Goodbye horses by Q Lazzarus and I’m dreaming about reading more of H. G. Wells.

What do you think style is about? and how would you describe your personal style?
Style is how you wear it. It’s about the persons personality and attitude.
My own style has got increasingly more simple. Actually without my awareness.

Who are your fantasy dinner party guests?
Ian Curtis, Jim Morrison, John Malkovich, Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill. That would be an awesome dinner party.

If I came to Copenhagen and to London what should I absolutely have to see?
So many exciting places and very hard to pick only one. I like to take long walks in that way you get to see much more of the city. Take a stroll from Liverpool street station in East London and walk down to the Themes and from thereon all the way to central London. In that way you’ll start up in area with high Tech buildings and end up with old beautiful London architecture.
Copenhagen have so many great places as well. It’s obviously a smaller city but just as beautiful. My favorite area in Copenhagen is Christianshavn. You got a lovely area of cafés and dirty bars surrounded by charming small houses and water canals. - And if that weren’t enough u got the place of freedom, Christiania, just around the corner.

Any plans for future?
Being better at having a social life while finish my MA degree and running my label. – And going on a years desired sun vacation, where it’s not required to use your brain for anything else than thinking about your next meal.

A few days ago Nike launched a new series of shades inspired by the classic models of the 70s, the favourites by European skiers and Hollywood icons such as Steve McQueen and Paul Newman. Late last year, American Apparel teamed with Lookbook.nu and asked the site’s members to submit styles that featured American Apparel clothing. The company then sorted through nearly a thousand entries to create this 64-page Lookbook that features 132 looks from 77 Lookbook members.
“The book that came out of the friendship we [ American Apparel ] developed with the site over the past 18 months or so. From what we know, it’s the first instance of a fashion company ever doing anything like this on this scale. What’s so crazy about this lookbook is that’s almost entirely shot by someone other than us.”

The Lookbook is available free in stores and to online customers.

I am not a big fan of headbands and I think last time I wore one it was probably at the beginning of high school, but when I came across Benoit Missolin eshop I couldn’t resist not to look around a little and I discovered a lot of really nice creations. I am still not sure if I would wear them or not, but surely there are a lot of options to choose from! I think that eventually I would go for the black leather bows (which is available also in red).

Her latest Plastic Analogue collection showcases sculpted silhouettes that encase the body with protective interlocking armour that fuses innovative technology, product design and fashion to a dynamic effect. Underneath the sculpted pieces, abstract body mapping patterns and computer avatars create quirky textile prints that are digitally printed onto bodywear pieces and voluminous dresses.
