Late last year, American Apparel teamed with Lookbook.nu and asked the site’s members to submit styles that featured American Apparel clothing. The company then sorted through nearly a thousand entries to create this 64-page Lookbook that features 132 looks from 77 Lookbook members.
“The book that came out of the friendship we [ American Apparel ] developed with the site over the past 18 months or so. From what we know, it’s the first instance of a fashion company ever doing anything like this on this scale. What’s so crazy about this lookbook is that’s almost entirely shot by someone other than us.”

The Lookbook is available free in stores and to online customers.

I am not a big fan of headbands and I think last time I wore one it was probably at the beginning of high school, but when I came across Benoit Missolin eshop I couldn’t resist not to look around a little and I discovered a lot of really nice creations. I am still not sure if I would wear them or not, but surely there are a lot of options to choose from! I think that eventually I would go for the black leather bows (which is available also in red).

Amy Thompson is a concept led designer who seeks to explore the unknown, achieve the unexpected, challenge the existing and create the extraordinary. Her latest Plastic Analogue collection showcases sculpted silhouettes that encase the body with protective interlocking armour that fuses innovative technology, product design and fashion to a dynamic effect. Underneath the sculpted pieces, abstract body mapping patterns and computer avatars create quirky textile prints that are digitally printed onto bodywear pieces and voluminous dresses.

Diana Orving, the incredibly talented and self taught fashion designer from Stockholm who began to design clothes for herself and her friends in high school, gets better and better with every collection she design. Finding her influences in literature, dance and art she says that to her “clothing is about people and their stories, perhaps more than it is about fashion.” I love the way she focus more on form and the actual construction of the garments than on color, using a mainly black/nude/grey color palette. In this collection the use of her draping technique is still relevant but we see the introduction of transparency layers and geometric cuts plus a bright new electric blue. I would wear every single piece of it!

Marjan Pejoski is Macedonian born fashion designer who founded his own label in 2000 after gaining fame for dressing Björk in the infamous swan dress for the Oscar Academy Awards in 2000.
He’s design philosophy encourages pieces that stand out and continually inspire the imagination of those who both see and wear them. The garments he designs are for people that are not afraid of expressing themselves. Love the SS10 collection which, compare to the last one, is more romantic and poetic, but still challenging.

Stylish and aggressive new design concept for Louise Vuitton sunglasses by French designer Dzmitry Samal. It remainds me of the tour Eiffel architecture. Do you like it?
