He started his tattoo shop ‘Into You’ in Clerkenwell in 1993 and they now have some of the best and most innovative tattooers working in London. His influences are varied; Japanese woodblock prints and Japanese tattoo art in particular.
He also used to write for Body Art Magazine, the British magazine about Body Art which is considered to be one of the highest quality body art and modification periodicals ever.

This is his first solo show, and it will feature his works on paper and away from the tattoo table. About the exhibition he explains: “It will be more for my drawings than for my prints. Though there will be a few prints which draw on my interest in anatomy, as I worked as a medical illustration for a while”.
Alex has been all along on the cutting-edge of tattoo art so we can expect this show to be ‘terrifyingly beautiful’. Enjoy it.
