The diesel denim gallery in aoyama, tokyo is now showing a collection of new artwork by illustrator
jules julien. the show ‘cadavers exquis’, features a series of works the paris-based julien created inspired
by the tokyo fashion scene. kimiko mitani woo is the show’s curator and worked with julien on the
how’s various elements. inside the gallery there are a number of paintings hung on the walls, in addition
to sculptural elements throughout the shop. the illustrations are based on fashion images, patches together
to create a unique set of characters reflective of the city’s vibrant fashion. MORE
